Liane Roe, Research Nutritionist
Liane Roe has worked in the lab since 1998. She manages research design, data handling, and statistical analysis for experiments conducted in the lab, as well as writing papers for publication in scientific journals. Liane received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where she also became a Registered Dietitian.
Before coming to Penn State, Liane worked in England at Oxford University, where she managed clinical trials of nutrition interventions in general practice for the prevention of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Her current interests are in modifying the characteristics of foods and meals in order to increase satiety, moderate energy intake, and prevent obesity. She is also interested in statistical methods for analyzing data with repeated measures designs, particularly using mixed models.
